Motor4Toys - H-Team Cruise

  I headed out early this past Sunday morning, to meet up with the Hotchkis H-Team going to the "Motor4Toys" car show in Woodland Hills. Ironically enough, after about 10 minutes of driving up the 405 fwy my exhaust hangar broke again! The same one as when we were driving out to the Hotchkis open house. I couldn't do anything, but just laugh as I pulled off the freeway. I still had the steel cable my friend had made for me (as a security latch for the hood) which I used last time, and said I'd always keep it in the car. I just wrapped it up around the trailing arm and got back on my way.
  I got to the meeting place at about 6:15am and drove in to the car show with the H-Team guys. As we pulled up I was amazed at the size of the event, and amount of cars that were there. I'd say at least several hundred cars, and by 8am I'd guess 1000+ cars. Not to forget to mention 3 helicopters! What I really liked was that there were all different types of cars, and car clubs. From exotics, supercars, vintage, muscle cars, and everything in between. The best part of the day was after leaving the event, I went along with the H-Team guys on their 62 mile canyon carving cruise through the beautiful Santa Monica Mountains (Thank You to H-Team member Jon B. for planning out such a fun course). Which I did with the muffler dragging and scraping on the dips, and hard right turns. Hahaa!! But I didn't want to miss out on that drive, so I just went for it!
  At the show I focused on taking pics of mostly the muscle cars, and a couple that really caught my eye.

Just Had to Stop

  I was driving in Santa Monica going to one of my stops for work, and saw this nice Austin Healey parked on the street. I just had to stop and take a couple of pictures of it. It turns out that it was a '58 Austin Healey 100-6 convertible. I really like it when people aren't afraid to actually take their classics out and drive them around. This would definitely be a fun car to take for a drive up the coast in.

NHRA Auto Club Finals

  I Had a real good time at the races today. We went out to Qualifying day of the "NHRA Auto Club Finals" at The World Famous Pomona Drag Strip. This is the second time I've been to see the drag races. I came out here last year, and was looking forward to coming back all year.
  We even got to catch John Force make a track record breaking run of 3.99 sec in a nitro funny car. And also got to check out the new 2014 C.O.P.O Camaro in the Chevy/GM Performance booth.

A Kid at Heart

  I headed back out to the Automobile Museum today because, they were hosting the Hot Wheels Car Show and toy event. This was really cool, they had several of the life size cars modeled from the actual toys. They also had several of their tracks and jumps set up for the kids to play with. I felt like a kid again wanting to be able to drive the cars out on the streets. This time it was even more seeing these life size running drivable cars. Especially the "Twin Mill" with the dual blowers, or the car they built to do the real loop at this years past x games in downtown L.A.
   I really like what the Automobile Driving Museum has been doing. From the different car shows and events they host, and that on Sunday afternoons you can taken for a drive in a classic historic or rare vehicle around El Segundo. They also rent out their banquet/event room for private parties, weddings, or other events people want to hold there.
