I made it back out to the "Motor4Toys" toy drive/car show this past Sunday again. This show never fails to be a real fun event. Maybe it's because it's in the middle of the holiday season? or maybe because it's really a toy drive to help out kids? or maybe it's the huge range of cars from muscle cars, hot rods, exotics, super cars and everything in between!!
These are some of my favorites from the show, hope you guys enjoy the pics!
This past month has been full of "Cartivities" and what I believe Pro-Touring is all about!
Starting on 8-14-16 we went on a real nice coastal cruise as part of Killer Shrimp's summer car shows. We left the main "Killer Shrimp" location in Marina Del Rey and headed to the "sister" restaurant in Hermosa Beach "The Mermaid" with 22 cars ranging from late 40's Cadillacs, Hot Rods, 60's muscle cars, and some modern Mustangs, and a CTS V. This was a real fun leisurely cruise driving along overlooking Dockweiler Beach and through the South Bay.
Then on 8-21-16 I attended my first SCCA Cal Club Autocross race at El Toro on the old Marine base airfield. after about a year of putting off those events i'm really happy i finally went! It was a lot of fun on a huge course and I got to learn a lot of what i need to work on as a driver. I will definitely be attending more of these events!!
Finally to top of the months fun, we went with the "Malibu Autobahn" guys on a canyon run through the Malibu Canyon. We met up at Peter Strauss Ranch in the morning and headed out with 30+ cars this time mostly all European Import luxury cars, some modern muscle and I brought a couple friend to represent for Classic American Muscle & Pro-Touring cars!
