What a great weekend full of “Cartivities” starting off Saturday going to the Toyota Grand Prix Long Beach to check out the Historic Trans-Am cars. (The pictures and videos from the Trans-Am race are posted up on our Facebook page FB/AsEyeSeeThings) Then racing in Sunday's Racing Byrds / NMCA WEST Autocross. And to top it all off, bringing home the Truck Class award!!
I recently changed the wheel and tire set up on the El Camino to get a wider front tire, this made a huge difference for the steering and handling on the car now. It really gripped and i was able to push the car and myself so much more. Not only a wider front tire but getting to finally run the new + compound on the Falken Azenis RT615k was amazing!
The course design for this weekends autocross was designed after the Valencia F1 race track in Spain, albeit a little scale down Hahaa!! It was a really fun course to run, with some super fast sections, and a tough S turn section going in toward the finish line.
I Hope you guys enjoy the pictures
P.S. any if anybody wants to download a pic, click on the image and open in another widow to get a better version.
