Main Street El Segundo

Looking around on FaceBook, luckily I saw a post about this car show Friday night. Literally the night before the event. I'm really glad to have made it out there. It was one of the best shows I've been to, if not the best! It was right down Main St in El Segundo lined with many restaurants, coffee shops, and a real good looking bar. I was surprised to see so many cars show up. Probably between 300 - 400 cars total. These are just a few of my favorite cars that caught my attention.

The 5 "9/11 Angel Cars"

I went down to El Segundo's "Automobile Driving Museum" for  The "Tribute to The American Muscle Car" car show benefit for the - Fueled By The Fallen.org
They are an organization that provides support to Veterans, First Responders and their families. They have 5 "9/11 Angel Cars", as they put it "A sole rolling memorial dedicated to 9/11 built on five 2011 Camaro RS" which were displayed at this event.
I had expected a bigger turn out for this event, but I guess the sprinkles and gloomy morning kept most people away. I still managed to get some good shots for you guys.

I'd probably do it too

If I had the $ for a 458 Italia Ferrari  Pininfarina,
I'd probably wrap it with these stripes too. Why not? At that point, just cause I can!
Being from the westside, I see a lot of Ferrari's and Lambos driven around. But most are the common ones anybody with a couple of million $$'s can buy. It's not often I see these higher end models, and then to wrap it with zebra-esque stripes???  It's just blatantly showing that you don't care about wasting $ on your toys!
What do you guys out there think???

"One Great Ride" Hotchkis Open House

I've been looking forward to this show for about a month now. Today started out hectic though, from locking myself out of my El Co while moving cars for parking. To having one of the exhaust hangers breaking and dragging the muffler on the 105 fwy. Luckily I had a steel cable, and was able to tie up the exhaust and make our way out to Santa Fe Springs. I found a muffler shop and got the hanger welded up for $20 and we headed to the Hotchkis shop.
We still made it early and got a great spot right in the middle of the main lot. We we're a lil bit disappointed on the amount of late model Camaros & Impalas expecting to see a lot more classics (and not to forget to mention the near 100 degree heat) but we still had a blast and happy to have made it out!
